The 17th Workshop on Advances in Continuous Optimization (EUROPT 2019) was organised on 28-29 June 2019 at the University of Strathclyde by the Intelligent Computational Engineering Laboratory.
The event attracted 90+ attendees from all over Europe, as well as Canada, China, Japan, and Mexico. Near one third of the attendees were students.
This workshop is the annual event of the EUROPT continuous optimization working group of EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies).
The websites of the two previous editions of the workshop are at:
EUROPT 2018
EUROPT 2017
This year the workshop takes place just after the EURO Conference that will be held on 23-26 June in Dublin, Ireland. (Dublin and Glasgow are very conveniently connected, with several flights per day in every season) |
… immediately after the 28th edition of the Biennial Numerical Analysis Conference held from 25th to 28th June 2019 at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Strathclyde |
… and immediately before the workshop on Advances in Linear Algebra and Huge-Scale Optimization, organised at the ICMS, The Bayes Centre, 47 Potterrow, Edinburgh EH8 9BT on 1-2 July 2019 |
The next EUROPT Workshop will be organised in Toulouse on July 2020 by Sonia Cafieri (more info soon) |
The next major event (co-)organised by ICElab will be the Optimisation in Space Engineering workshop (OSE5).
